Dear Weird Grandpa Patron,
I understand that you think it's funny that someone mistook your 2 year old grandson saying "tee tee" for train as saying "tits". What I don't understand why you thought I would want to hear you say it. In the future, please refrain from being creepy in my presence.
Thanks,
Kerry

unintentional enabling
last night, my library played host to two programs. in one meeting room, chocolate molding and dipping and in the other, the Taking Off Pounds Sensibly meeting. can you say awkward?
The time to hesitate is through...
When you open up your first post with the immortal words of Jim Morrison, you better be ready to bring it. Am I right? For much too long now, I've been toying with the idea that when I'm retired, I will pen my memoirs of life as a librarian and include all of the random moments that made me laugh, shake my head, or just gave me pause. But I live in the 21st century. We're online 24 hours a day and we're all constantly sharing our thoughts online. Why am I waiting until retirement when all of the best material is fresh in my mind right now? As the idea of blogging this life experience started to take shape, it also occured to me that I also wanted a place to share what I'm reading. That is after all, the basis of my profession; the promotion of reading and the free sharing of information and ideas. Why not use this forum to further those noble goals as well as my own? So, if you're reading this now and trying to decide whether or not to make a habit out of it, I encourage you to take a chance. Follow me and I'll try not to bore you. Who knows? You might even laugh a little. And if nothing else, you'll get a line on something new to read. And that's NEVER a bad thing.
